Monetization
The method by which a digital asset generates revenue - advertising, affiliate links, products, leads, or subscriptions.
Definition
Monetization describes how an asset turns traffic or usage into income. Common models on digital-asset listings include display advertising, affiliate commissions, direct product sales, lead generation (selling or converting inquiries), and subscriptions or memberships.
A listing's monetization status - whether it is already active, ready to activate, or entirely unmonetized - is one of the clearest signals of how much work a buyer needs to do after acquiring the asset.
