Domain Authority (DA)
Also: DA
A third-party score that estimates how likely a domain is to rank in search results, relative to other domains.
Definition
Domain Authority is a metric developed by an SEO tools vendor (not Google) to predict a site's relative ranking strength on a 1-100 scale. It is calculated from linking root domains, total backlinks, and other link-profile signals.
Higher DA generally correlates with stronger ranking potential, but it is a third-party estimate, not a Google ranking factor. Buyers use it as a quick comparison signal between listings, not as a guarantee of traffic.
In Practice
A listing showing Domain Authority 32 is being compared against other sites in the same price range - a buyer might prefer it over a similar site at DA 18 if traffic and niche are otherwise equal.
